Reflection: Oppression is Cursed; Regardless

Oppression - GSalam.Net

The Oppressed shouldn't be blamed while oppression is still been practised on him, even if he has committed some mistakes (not crime). If we can't support him to victory, then it's wise not to applaud for his oppressor.

An oppressor is cursed, regardless of who he may be; Muslim or non-Muslim, even if he happens to be our loved one. An oppressor is cursed, regardless of who the victim may be; Muslim or non-Muslim, even if we are not in good terms with the victim.

Prior to its occurrence, the Qur'an revealed about the war that took place between the Persians and the Romans. It indicated, that the Romans will defeat the Persians. It also encouraged the believers (Muslims) to celebrate the victory of the Romans, when it occurs. This was so because, the Persians were aggressors who used to bully the Romans. This is although Christianity, at the incident, was no longer an approved religion by God.

It means, “Alif Lam Mim. The Romans have been defeated. In a nearby land. They will reverse their defeat with a victory. within a few years: [for] with God rests all power of decision, first and last. On that day the believers too will have cause to rejoice. With the help of God. He helps whom He pleases: He is the Mighty, and the Merciful. [This is] Allah's Promise. Never does Allah fail to fulfill His promise — but most people do not know this…” [Surah Al-Roum, 30:1-6].

Allah saved Makkah from the invasion of the king of Abyssinia, although the king of Abyssinia was monotheist while the people of Makkah at that time were idolators.

It means, “Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the people of the elephant? Did He not foil their strategy. And send against them flocks of birds. Which pelted them with clay stones? Thus He made them like stubble cropped by cattle?” [Surah Al-Feel, 101:1-5].

The Oppressed shall gain victory, even if that will be at a later time.

Allahu Hafiz 🙂
