Turn to Allah Before It’s Too Late

The Story

“My late grandfather used to wake up early in the morning (before Subh) to pray and to recite the Qur'an. As much as he prayed and read the Qur'an, he constantly advised me to read the Qur'an and relate to it. But, unfortunately, as a pampered teenager (and granddaughter), I never listened to him…

I never considered practising Islam, as I never touched the Qur'an, in the lifetime of my late grandfather.

That side of me continued until the day I lost my grandfather, to death. I had lived my whole life with my grandfather. I suddenly felt, that I'm, spiritually, empty and thought something had to be done, immediately.

I started to learn the Qur'an. In addition to that, I sought my aunt's help, to get admission into a Qur'an school, after my O Levels. Alhamdulillah; that was successful.

Now, I'm learning how to read the Qur'an, and I'm gradually transforming, into the better me, insha Allah.”

Moral of the story:

This is a true story of a lucky Muslim sister, who could learn from the loss of her dear grandfather, the importance of Allah in one's life.

Don't wait for this kind of miracle before you turn to Allah, for you may not be as lucky as she was. So, turn to Allah before it's too late…

“Lord, grant that I may keep up the prayer, and so may my offspring. My Lord, accept my prayer. Forgive me, Lord, and forgive my parents and all the believers on the Day of Reckoning.” [Surah Ibrahim, 14:41].
