Now, after learning those 9 reasons, why you should start your Qiyamullayl right away, it’s time to discuss and share the 8 practices that grant you boost your reading to make Qiyamullayl your habit, insha Allah.

If you haven’t already read the previous article or watched the relevant video, then I humbly strongly recommend that you read the article or watch its video first. Doing so will make it easy for you to relate to this content.

Now, without further ado, let’s dive into the 8 practices for easy and successful wake-up for qiyamullayl, Insha Allah.

First, have a good sleep…

#1: Have a Good Sleep / Sleep Early

Yes.. that’s right… have a good sleep.

Besides your faith, one thing you shouldn’t compromise is your sleep. Having a good sleep is a treasure. Regardless, of whether we know it or not.

When you have a good sleep you wake up fresh, you wake up focused, you wake up happy, and you eventually emerge productive in the day, by the will of Allah. Additionally, having a good sleep enhances your emotion and boosts your health.

Here, let’s be clear about something. That is: having a good sleep doesn’t mean oversleeping. It rather means sleeping at the right time for sleeping. And that takes us to the second practice. That is…  sleep early.

#2: Sleep Early

O yes… If you want a good sleep, especially if you want to do Qiyamullayl, then the best thing to do is to sleep early. You can hardly have a good sleep if you go to bed late.

And the right time to go to bed is after Isha’ prayers, unless something really important engages you. And that engagement shouldn’t be long. That’s exactly the way of Rasulullah ṣallā Allāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam. He, ṣallā Allāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam would go to sleep right after Isha’, unless he has something urgent to attend to.

Therefore, unless you are doing your Qiyamullayl before going to bed, you’re encouraged to sleep early. My assumption is that, you know that doing Qiyamullayl before going to bed is one of the options of performing Qiyamullayl.

In order to knock off into a deep and good sleep, in order to sleep early and have a good sleep, then make sure you take care of the practice that follows. That’s Take a Light Dinner.

#3: Take Light Dinner

Taking light dinner is essential in waking up for qiyamullayl. Human internal organs need some rest at night. However, sadly, we engage it with processing heavy food instead. This is to say, the less pressure you put your internal organs to (by taking light dinner), the better sleep you get.

When you have a heavy dinner, and your internal organs become occupied with processing the food content you dumped in it, it will spend the night processing that, instead of working on putting your heart and mind to sleep and recharge for the next day.

As a result, when one eats a heavy dinner, his qiyamullay will is affected. In fact, even if he has already developed consistency in Qiyamullayl. He will wake up with a heavy body, with heavy eyes, and with half-consciousness.

The secret is simple. Eat light. And to make that more practical take note of the next practice. That’s don’t eat late…

#4: Don’t Eat Late

Yes, that’s right. Similar to taking light dinner is to eat early. That should be an our or two before going to bed. This is to ensure you don’t sleep with a full stomach.

Ya Akhi!

A light dinner taken right before going to bed will affect your sleep. That’s because your internal organs will spend the night digesting. What more about taking heavy dinner and late at night!

Our next essential practice to help you wake up easily for Qiyamullayl is to exercise… and regularly.

#5: Exercise Regularly

Exercising regularly is important for the health of man. In fact, this is the fourth Element. Check embedded video below to find out what the Fourth Element is about.

It’s really sad to see that many Muslims neglect this 4th Element.

It’s important for every human being, especially the Muslim to keep up with fitness regardless of the little time we put in.

Spending five minutes a day to workout is better than none at all. Ten minutes is better than five. 15 is better than 10. Half an hour is certainly better than 15 minutes. And there you go.

Whichever one takes, whether it’s an hour or half a day, 20 minutes, 15, 10 or 5, you’ll feel it. Your mood will definatelly be better. Not only your Qiyamullayl will be smoother, your relationship with your surrounding will also improve.

Therefore, get out of bed now, hit the floor and work out inside the room. Or go out of the house and hit the road to jog or run.

Don’t the mistake many of us make to avoid exercising, for long. They say, “I prefer working or exercising with a friend or in a team.” However, the truth is, if you want to get or wait for a friend or a team, you’ll like never do it.

Even if you eventually get a friend or a team, and then get to start to exercise, it won’t take long before you can’t continue with it.

It’s worth emphasing, that your Qiyamullayl is your personal priority, and you need to do exercise to make it happen with consistency… Let’s go.. You can do it, by the will of Allah. Next, eat halal.

#6: Eat Halal

Eating halal food, that was made or bought with income earned from halal keeps your body light. Yes, you may be big-sized person. However, you’ll be active and physically productive.

There’s something important for us, Muslims to pay attention to. That is, as much as we should eat halal, it matters a lot who cooks for us. For instance, would you eat without saying ‘Bismillah?”  Most likely no. Right? Now, would you eat from a person who doesn’t say ‘Bismillah’ or mention Allah when they cook? Why are you stuck? 🙂

Don’t get me wrong. As Muslims, we can eat from Christians and Jews if the ingredients of their cooking is halal. However, eating from the one who says ‘Bismillah’ is better than eating from the cooking of the one who doesn’t says ‘Bismillah.’

The point I’m trying to make is that a food cooked with Bismillah is better than food cooked without. Just like eating with Bismillah is certainly not the same as food eaten without m Bismillah.

Above all that is to ensure we provide all that from halal income. And our ability to wake up for Qiyamullayl will happen like a miracle, Insha Allah.

So far, we have covered 6 practices. Your next practice is the most crucial of all… That’s to intend to wake up for Qiyamullayl.

#7: Intend to Wake Up for It

O Yes! All the above-mentioned practices are actually conventional wisdom practices, with the exception of the practice of eating halal. Evidently, whoever wants a healthy lifestyle takes care of their food, exercises regularly, and ultimately, he take good care of his sleeping schedule. It’s not a secret, that many non-Muslims are good at that than many Muslims.

Therefore, with all that, in addition to ensuring our halal income and consumption, the Muslim must intend Qiyamullayl in order to be able to observe Qiyamullayl and create a habit out of it.

If you’ve got all the above practices set, I’m sure, you’re likely to have already started your qiyamullayl… Masha Allah… But don’t ignore the last practice I’m going to mention… That’s to start with less.

top

#8: Start with Less

One of the reasons why many of us give up on Qiyamullayl or any other acts for that matter, is that we have the wrong perception about it. No doubt, we have good intentions. However, we set highly unrealistic goals. Thus, many of us fail to keep up with our Qiyamullayl for more than a few days.

The recommendation for the one who’s starting fresh is to start with 5 minutes. And then after a week, if you feel like increasing, then go ahead and increase to 10 minutes. And then to 15 up to 30. Once you become intrinsically motivated, then you can increase according to your capacity and circumstance.

It may be tempting. But don’t start with an hour duration on your first day. While there’s a possibility you will resume the next day, you’re likely going to miss it the next day than resuming.

It’s important to know that developing a habit for a consistent Qiyamullayl is a lifetime habit. Thus, it’s wise to build it gradually.

Consistency is to ensure doing it everyday or very frequently. And to achieve that, you may want to start less.

Conclusion

You might have noticed, that I did include “intending Qiyamullayl” as one of the practices. However, I didn’t mention “Sincerity” or “Being Sincere to do it for Allah”. This is because the insincere don’t do Qiyamullayl. So, it’s unspoken common sense, that whoever does Qiyamullayl, and does not broadcast it live, video record it or tell the world about his Qiyamullayl is having sincerity in doing so. So, there was no need to indicate that here.

Also, although the practices mentioned in this article are subjective at the end of the day, they work for many, if not all people. For that, I humbly request that you share it with our loved ones. Share it on your Facebook newsfeed, or WhatsApp status or any other social media handle of your choice.

May Allah grant us what it takes to overcome our inner evils and the devil and be among the community of Qiyamullayl.

I hope this article and the accompanied video have inspired you to take your Qiyamullayl to a whole new level. Since you’ve read to this point, you may want to check out “The Significance, Effects and Guidelines of Qiyamullail.”

Until our next, I leave in Allah’s protection. See you, and see you in Jannah.

Allah knows best.
