Fitnah (tests) that are ordained upon human beings vary in forms and severity. Allah saves us from the minor ones when we care and show love to the poor and the weak among us. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الـخَيْرَاتِ، وَتَرْكَ الـمُنْكَرَاتِ، وَحُبَّ الـمَسَاكِينِ، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِي النَّاسِ فِتْنَةً فَاقْبِضْنِي إِلَيْكَ غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ.ـ
“O Allah, I ask you [to grant me the ability to] doing good deeds, abstaining from wrongdoings, loving the poor. And if You are to test people, take me to You, untested.”
