Du’a: #62 Du’a for Clarity in Communicating

When Sayyidunā Mūsā ‘alayhi al-salām was chosen and sent to his people, he complained to Allah some speech impairment he had. Allah taught him to recite this supplication. It reads:

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لـِي صَدْرِي. وَيَسِّرْ لِـي أَمْرِى. وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِـي. يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِـي.ـ


“My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance]. And ease for me my task. And untie the knot from my tongue. So that they (people) will understand my word.”

Pluralized


رَبَّنَا اشْرَحْ لَنَا صُدُورَنَا. وَيَسِّرْ لَنَا أُمُورَنَا. وَٱحْلُلْ عُقَداً مِّن أَلْسِنَتِنَا. يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلَنَا.ـ
