Du’a: #63 Du’a for Preservation of Your Hearing and Vision

Regardless of how long you are destined to live, the last thing you’ll want to lose is your hearing and vision. This du‘ā’ which Sayyidunā Abū Hurayrah narrates is the du‘ā’ you need for this purpose. And it reads:

اللَّهُمَّ مَتِّعْنِـي بِسَمْعِي وَبَصَرِي، وَاجْعَلْهُمَا الوَارِثَ مِنِّـي، وَانْصُرْنِـي عَلَى مَنْ يَظْلِمُنِـي، وَخُذْ مِنْهُ بِثَأْرِي.ـ

“O Allah, give me pleasure in my hearing and my sight, and make it the inheritor from me, and aid me against whoever oppresses me, and take vengeance from him for me.”

Pluralized

اللَّهُمَّ مَتِّعْنَا بِأَسْـمَاعِنَا وَأَبْصَارِنَا، وَاجْعَلْهَا الوَارِثَ مِنَّا، وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى مَنْ يَظْلِمُنَا، وَخُذْ مِنْهُ بِثَأْرِنَا.ـ
